Beautiful Inside and Out

I simply have to post this!!!  I found this amazing video about an amazing woman on my friend Patti’s blog today while I was killing time waiting for the construction guys to finish up.  Patti is one of my frequent commenters here on It’s Just Life and a sweet lady to boot.  Check out her blog A New Day Dawns here!  Tell her I sent you!

But back to the video.  It quite honestly brought tears to my eyes as I watched a woman who on the outside is far from beautiful by human standards due to her Neurofibromatosis which causes tumors to grow all over her body.  But what an amazing woman and what an amazing smile.  I could tell that she is beautiful inside and that beauty reached to my very core today as I viewed the video.  I have been so blessed with good health and ordinary looks.  This makes me think about that.  Living with my brother in law with Down Syndrome has also opened my eyes to how others view us when we are out shopping and doing our thing.  Most folks are kind and accepting but there are some who try to hide their stares and avert their eyes.  I am sure I have been guilty of the same.  This video makes me really want to try to change that.  Let me know what you think.

  1. Thanks for sharing, Beth Ann. What a great attitude and a beautiful lady she is A good reminder that’s what inside a person truly shows thier true beauty.

    • Thanks, Diane. I can not even begin to imagine what she has gone through and continues to go through but what an inspiration. And she had such a great smile. That is what I loved!!! Hope you have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Thanks for the shout out, Beth Ann, and sharing the video of this dear lady. As she said, there is more of her to love. :)

    • I loved that part of that video!!! I can not even begin to imagine. But what a testimony to strength of character and knowing that you have something to give to the world!!! Thanks for sharing it first!

  3. Glad I watched the video. She certainly is quite a lady with a real inside beauty. And to think I worry about a few wrinkles!

  4. A very inspiring video – one of those corrective lenses we all need to see beyond the body into the heart and soul.

    • So totally agree with you!!! Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting. I just loved this lady and knw that if I met her in person we would have a lot to talk about!!!

  5. TheIdiotSpeaketh says:

One of the most beautiful ladies I have seen in ages :)

  6. Thanks for sharing that, Beth Ann. She is a lovely and courageous woman. I guess we deal with what we have to. I imagine it is extremely uncomfortable.

I thought it was Rockport very early when I saw the little red shack. It’s called Motif #1 and I remember it from our trip to Rockport. I loved the place. So at least she gets to live in a beautiful little town.

    • That is so cool that you recognized the place that this sweet lady lives!!! That is very neat!!! I can not begin to imagine how uncomfortable is is for her and to think that even hugs hurt made me so sad! I could not make it without hugs!!!

  7. Oh wow. Now I am in tears. Thanks for this, it’s so inspiring.

I love your comments--each one makes me smile and makes a difference for Comments for a Cause! Thanks!
