I freely admit that I don’t have much of a life right now. It revolves around giving Buddy his medicine 3 times a day, making sure Chris takes HIS medicine a couple times a day, Tuck in laundry, cleaning, cooking and the occasional writing escapade and that is my day. But…..the Decorah eagles are back so what else can I add to my ever exciting list of things to do??? Watch the eagles!!! Right now Mom and Dad are taking turns keeping the 3 eggs warm and fluffing up the nest a bit. Fun to watch and nature in real time!!!

How cool is that? When I just checked one of the parent birds was sitting in the nest keeping the eggs warm I imagine. Not too exciting… but I bet seeing those eggs hatch would be awesome.
I can’t tell the mom from the dad yet but if you read the “feed” on the side you can usually find out. The funniest thing is when the babies projectile poop out of the nest….oh it is the simple things in life that make me laugh!
It is windy, rainy and cold here too… I am going to spend the day writing the book… I am almost done
Hilary!!! What?? You are almost done???? Details, please, please, please!!!!
I will email you!
Aw, thanks Beth Ann. It is really hard to imagine being able to see what happens in the wild, up close and personal like this..Thanks for letting us know.
Ps. Keep out of the hot sun..lol
No worries, Jake. The sun is nowhere to be seen….bah. Wishing I was at the beach!
Oh, you’re “feelin’ beachie” are you? lol
I wish.
How cool, Beth Ann! However, hope you stay warm and dry this weekend. Have a good one!
Hugs,
Kathy
Sorry about your weather Beth Ann. We haven’t even had a winter out here – gonna be in the 80s this weekend. Wanted to know – how close is the nest? That is soooo cool that you get to see that!!
It is good to see the eagles again. It looks like it is windy there also.
Yep!!! Sure is!
I’ll have to check on our local eagles, now that you reminded me.
The one who lost his mate last year has a new mate, and they’ve been working on a nest.
Do they have a web cam, too?? I think it is just so neat to be able to watch them.
I’m jealous. Although I’d definitely have to worry about Arthur if we had eagles around here.
I hope Buddy gets better soon.
What a sight I’ll bet that is. That’s a good thing to do on a cold, lazy day.
It sounds like you are super busy!
I am NOT busy, not a bit. I like people to think I am, though!
