June 6th is a day to remember.  D -Day.  From Wikipedia: The Normandy landings, codenamed Operation Neptune, were the landing operations on 6 June 1944 (termed D-Day) of the Allied invasion of Normandy in Operation Overlord during World War II. Freedom Rocks

Memorial Day is a US federal holiday wherein the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces are remembered.  THANK YOU to all who have served! Someone Spoiled the Fun

I  was thrilled last week to see an oriole flitting through my back yard.  I have not seen them here before and so of course I rushed out to buy a platform feeder to put some goodies out specifically to draw them in. My current feeders did not have any tasty treats that they like and I wanted to attract more and more of these lovelies to our backyard.
